Activity Center
Devoted to cultivating compassionate, respectful, and genuine community members, CEA is dedicated to providing activities that offer a variety of programs, activities, services, and facilities.
Undertaking extracurricular activities has far-ranging benefits that touch on many aspects of a child’s development. Extracurriculars teach students new skills, boosts their self-confidence, builds their social skills, and gives students an opportunity to pursue interests.
Our students participate in a variety of extracurricular activities ranging from sports, the arts, internships to volunteer work.
REGENERON SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH
CEA students have and continue to compete in Regeneron Science Talent Search, a research-based science competition in the US for high school students. “Each year, nearly 1,900 students enter the Regeneron STS, submitting original research in critically important scientific fields of study.”
MU ALPHA THETA MATH COMPETITION
At CEA, we prepare and train our students to compete in Mu Alpha Theta’s Math Competition. Mu Alpha Theta supports the Log1 Contest, the Rocket City Math League, and the Mathematical Minutes Video Contest.
SCHOLASTIC ART & WRITING AWARDS
Many of our creative and passionate students compete in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards provide scholarships for teenagers in the United States. Students compete in various categories: architecture, sculpture, painting, photography, poetry, dramatic script, fashion, animation, video games, etc. Contests must be in grades 7–12 from public, private, and home schools throughout the U.S. to compete.
CHINESE PATENT FILING
One individual, during his time with CEA, with our help filed for his very own Chinese patent.
SQUASH TRAINING
Our CEA community includes a great squash coach and trainer. Many of our students have learned squash with us as a sport to add to their resume, to get in shape, or simply to pursue a brand-new challenge.
8TURTLE
We are most proud of our decade-long endeavor – 8turtle, our Tibetan charity. Volunteering is great way for students to demonstrate their passion, interests, values, and compassion.
Please visit our 8turtle website to learn just how much our students have made a difference to the Tibetan community.
